Who We Treat at Renewal Lodge
We welcome adult men and women from all walks of life who are grappling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach is designed to help clients discover and connect with their core values, achieve and sustain long-term recovery, and ultimately lead more authentic lives.
We believe that by addressing the whole person – not just their addiction – we can help our clients build a strong foundation for lasting recovery and personal growth.
Addiction as a Disease: A Treatable Mental Health Disorder
Recognizing the reality that addiction has made it’s way into your life is difficult for anybody to come to terms with. Many of our clients spend months or years rationalizing why they’ve avoided professional help. Addiction is something that happens to other people, not to ourselves.
The truth about addiction is that it’s a complex mental health disorder that affects millions. Motivated by our own experiences, our care team firmly believes that anyone is capable of recovery when given the right support and tools.
Believe it or not, we understand the pain, frustration, and fear that come with addiction. We see your strength, even when you can’t. We’re here to support you or your loved one every step of the way, offering not just treatment, but a path to a new life filled with possibility and joy.
"Renewal Lodge offers people not only a chance to recover from a hopeless state of mind, body, and spirit, but to grow in ways they had never imagined possible."
Aaron Ball, RN, Director of Nursing
Our Dynamic Short-Term Approach
Our goal is simple yet ambitious: to provide the most effective treatment in the shortest time possible.
The program at Renewal Lodge specializes in intensive, short-term residential programs ranging from 30 to 90 days. This dynamic approach is tailored for individuals who are ready to fully immerse themselves in the recovery process.
We recognize that not everyone can commit to long-term residential care, which is why we’ve designed our program to achieve results within a condensed time frame. This approach allows us to help individuals achieve meaningful progress in their recovery journey, even within the constraints of a shorter stay.
Additionally, we make dual-diagnosis care a core component of our treatment approach, allowing us to address both addiction and mental health concerns simultaneously.
“Without a doubt one of the best treatment centers in the country. If you want to live and are willing to do so by any means then this is the place.”
Treating the Unique Individual Through Dual Diagnosis
Addiction is a disease that is as unique as the millions of individuals it affects, which is why our treatment program establishes a clear baseline in order to tailor treatment to address a wide range of substance use and mental health disorders. When substance abuse and mental health present together, we refer to this as a dual diagnosis. Although common, the interplay between these two aspects can complicate diagnosis and treatment.
Addressing these co-occurring disorders is crucial for effective addiction treatment. Many individuals use substances to cope with underlying mental health issues, and treating both simultaneously significantly improves the chances of long-term recovery.
"Renewal Lodge offers a 12 step program full of mindfulness as well as working with families to better understand the disease of addiction."
Kristi Miles, CCMA
Trauma-Informed Care
Our experience, supported by multiple studies on the subject, indicate that many individuals develop substance use disorders as a result of unresolved trauma in their lives. These traumatic events typically induce significant stress, sadness, isolation, or anxiety long after the event has occurred.
Sometimes trauma is linked to the death of a loved one, the loss of an important relationship, a debilitating injury or illness, or even an accident. As these hardships go unresolved, an individual may turn to drugs or alcohol to help cope with the various symptoms associated with the traumatic event.
Our program actively promotes resilience and helps clients identify their inherent strengths, which are often overshadowed by addiction and trauma. A compassionate and comprehensive addressment of underlying trauma and other hardships helps our clients to build a stronger foundation for a lasting recovery.
